Bride plucking flower in Garden in Mithila Painting

Bride plucking flower in Garden in Digital Mithila / Madhubani Painting

Bride plucking flower in Garden in Mithila Painting is digitally painted with the motifs and style of  Madhubani / Mithila Painting.

In traditional Mithila it is called “Gauri Pujan lai phool torait Kaniya” (Maithili Language) meaning “Bride plucking flowers for worshiping Goddess Gauri”. The married ladies of Mithila worship  Goddess Gauri with lot of devotion for the well being of their husbands. This painting carries lot of significance especially during the “Madhushrawani” an important festival  especially for new brides in the month of July/ August through auspicious 15 days where they worship Lord Shiva and Goddess Gauri (Parvati) and their love and devotion for each other.

Taking new dimensions to the Mithila Painting in this tech era, the painting is made on the Adobe Photoshop Elements software with the help of Wacom Bamboo Create Pen and Touch Tablet.  The pen and touch tablet helped in keeping the detailing of the painting very close to the handmade Mithila paintings.

Mode of Creation : Digital Painting.
